‘Performing Data in Australasia’ is a collaboration between the Theatre Aotearoa and AusStage live performing arts databases that brings together researchers and artists interested in archiving performance and developing skills in data analysis through visualisation.
This symposium continues the momentum from our symposium held in July 2023. With data from the Theatre Aotearoa now migrated to AusStage, we now can explore opportunities for analysing New Zealand and Trans-Tasman data using the AusStage database and other tools. This symposium continues our work sharing emerging approaches to data gathering, archiving, interpretation, storytelling, and visualisation.
Performing Data is open to everyone at whatever stage of your career – be you a creative practitioner, PG, ECR, or senior academic – and whatever skills you have or do not have with AusStage and Theatre Aotearoa or data visualisations more generally.
We invite you to join us in person in Wellington, or on Zoom (for the whole 3 days or specific sessions!). You do not need to have a prepared presentation to participate in the workshops and attendance is free.
